Frankie Ballard review - Frankie Ballard

He recently wrapped a string of dates with Bob Seger, and this summer he'll hit the road with Taylor Swift: Frankie Ballard is a cover-all-the-bases kind of guy. On his major-label debut, the Nashville newcomer plays it straight down the middle, juicing tunes about booze and babes with enough low-key blues guitar to win over anti-twang types. The result? Frankie Ballard is solid — but ordinary — like a rock. B-
