Arnold Schwarzenegger’s announcement on Monday that he had fathered a love child with a member of his household staff appears to have been a pretty savvy career move. DVD sales of T2: Judgment Day, his seminal Terminator movie, have jumped a whopping 169 percent on Amazon.com over the last 24 hours, from a ranking of 733 to 272, making it the seventh biggest gainer on Amazon so far this week. (Netflix doesn’t reveal rental numbers for its movies, but it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see Arnold doing brisk business there, as well.) It’s impossible to know for certain how strong the connection is between the scandal and the sales, but suddenly we have an urge to check out Junior, the 1994 comedy in which Arnold gets pregnant.
