HarperCollins has acquired the rights to Pete Townshend’s highly anticipated memoir Who He? The legendary guitarist and songwriter for the Who has been working on his autobiography since the mid-90’s, according to Rolling Stone, and it will finally hit shelves in Autumn 2012. The book will tell the story of his dramatic childhood, the inception of the iconic band, and the wild decades of touring and creating unforgettable music. “In the 1970’s, Pete Townshend famously asked the musical question ‘Who are you?'” said HarperCollins executive editor David Hirshey in a press release. “Now, in his autobiography, generations of fans will finally get the answer they’ve been waiting for.”
