With Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert’s weekend wedding now in the books — Shelton returned to Twitter Monday afternoon with the message, “Hey y’all I’m back!!!!! Without my sack!!!!,” and “Mrs Shelton” became a trending topic after Lambert tweeted, “Mrs Shelton here! Winning!!!!!” — is celebrating country music’s best couples with a 50-slide photo album. It starts with Roy Rogers and Dale Evans (pause to appreciate their color coordination on their wedding day), naturally includes the eternal Johnny Cash and June Carter and the tumultuous George Jones and Tammy Wynette, and in addition to Blake and Miranda, involves the likes of Tim and Faith and Garth and Trisha (along with Keith and Nicole and Brad and Kimberly, which could be reaching, but both actresses serve as muses, so we’ll let it slide).

Who’s your favorite country music couple? Blake and Miranda are definitely up there for me — I think most women like a guy who isn’t afraid to love a woman made of gunpowder and lead (and fond of kerosene). You could feel their chemistry back in 2006, when they dueted on “You’re the Reason God Made Oklahoma” for a CMT concert. Watch it below. They’re the lighter side to the heat Tim McGraw and Faith Hill bring whenever they sing opposite one another (watch their “I Need You” video also embedded below). One couple I would add to the list: Clint Black and Lisa Hartman Black. They’re on my mind just because their duet “When I Said I Do” shuffled onto my iPod recently and I stopped and wondered if I was the only person in the country who listened to that song on that particular day.
