'American Idol' parent company sold for $509 million

CKx, the entertainment company that operates American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance, as well as Graceland and property rights to Elvis Presley and Muhammad Ali’s image and likeness, has been acquired by Apollo Global Management for, according to Variety, a reported $509 million.
