American Idol Wednesday Ratings
Could have been the NBA playoffs on cable, or having all the broadcasters back in originals again, but several key shows fell in the ratings Wednesday night.
Fox still won the night with American Idol (20.6 million, 6.4), down 10 percent, and Breaking In (7.3 million, 2.5) climbing a notch (for some reason, I always want to write that title as Breakin’ In).
In second, CBS had Survivor (10.7 million, 3.0) down 6 percent to a series low, followed by Criminal Minds (12.8 million, 3.2) down 9 percent and Suspect Behavior (8.7 million, 2.2) falling 15 percent.
NBC aired Minute to Win It (3.4 million, 1.0) and then an encore (which makes you wonder why they didn’t just repeat The Voice again this week), followed by Law & Order: SVU (8.3 million, 2.5) up a tick and winning 10 p.m.
ABC’s comedy block was all within 7 percent of last week — The Middle (7.1 million, 2.0), Better With You (5.5 million, 1.6), Modern Family (9.6 million, 3.8) and Cougar Town (5.6 million, 2.2)… except for Happy Endings (4 million, 1.7), which was down 19 percent after last week’s spike.
