Focus Features announced it has picked up the next movie from director Wes Anderson, whose credits include Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, and The Fantastic Mr. Fox. Moonrise Kingdom, which Anderson co-wrote with Roman Coppola, tells the story of a young boy and girl in 1960s small-town New England who fall in love and decide to run away, setting off a search for them. The cast includes Anderson regulars Bill Murray (as the girl’s father) and Jason Schwarzman, along with Bruce Willis as the town sherriff, Edward Norton as a camp leader, Frances McDormand (as the girl’s mother), and Tilda Swinton. The boy and girl will be played by newcomers Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward. The movie is currently in production.
