Chris Brown‘s style as a singer and dancer has been heavily influenced by one man: Michael Jackson.

Brown, who payed homage to Jackson at last summer’s BET Awards, often gives the “King of Pop” his credit. So it’s only right that after sampling a Jackson classic for his new single “She Ain’t You,” the young talent acknowledge his favorite teacher in its video.

“Dedicated to my biggest inspiration of all time… I Love You,” Brown writes at the start of the clip. “You,” which pulls from Michael’s Thriller ballad “Human Nature,” adds a little more bounce to the idol’s solemn cut. It sounds more like SWV’s 1992 incarnation.

In the video Brown wears an MJ-esque fedora and in addition to his tremendous dancing, there’s a a little movie magic with him doing some extreme leans and levitating. Watch the clip after the jump.

You’d be hard pressed trying to find a singer out there with enough dancing abilities to even attempt a proper Jackson tribute. Brown is one of the few—if not the only. Chris still makes this his own video, though. There are shades of Michael, yet plenty of his hip-hop-tinged grooves make his choreography feel new.
