Darren Aronofsky will head Venice Film Festival jury

Oscar-nominated Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky is set to head the jury at the Venice Film Festival. The director has a history with the festival: Not only did his 2008 film, The Wrestler, win the Golden Lion (the festival’s top prize), but his Black Swan premiered at Venice last year. (His 2006 film, The Fountain, also played at the festival.) Quentin Tarantino served as the head of the jury last year, when Sofia Coppola’s “Somewhere” was awarded the top prize.
