'Celebrity Apprentice': And the fired celebrity is...
[/caption]
In an episode that saw Donald Trump promoting both his possible presidential run and his line of luxury hotels, another celebrity was given the proverbial boot. Who was sent down Trump Tower for a ride around the block in a waiting car service? My full recap will be up at 2am (UPDATE: Click over to see Dalton’s full Celebrity Apprentice recap), but if you’ve already watched tonight’s episode and want to sound off about who was eliminated and why, then read on for more. [SPOILER ALERT: Read on only if you have already watched Sunday’s episode of Celebrity Apprentice.]
“For the first time in my life, being pretentious doesn’t hurt me,” said Star Jones after becoming Project Manager for a task in which the teams had to create a four-page ad for the Trump Hotel Collection. How wrong she was. When not finding new and exciting ways to annoy viewers with her awesome-is-me attitude (“I’ve had the opportunity to walk the streets of Paris and London and Morocco and San Tropez, and sail the Mediterranean. I know as much about luxury as I know about living.”), Star managed to completely bungle the challenge, even putting the current Playmate of the Year in a bathtub…IN HER TOWEL! However, even though the loss was 100 percent Star’s fault, Trump chose to completely contradict his logic in firing Mark McGrath for the pirate sunscreen task and cut La Toya Jackson loose instead simply because the other women said they wanted her to go. (Funny how that criteria didn’t apply to Gary Busey for six weeks.) There was also a lengthy discussion about Star Jones fitting her teammates in her butt. Seriously.
What do you think? Did La Toya deserve to go? Was Star completely insufferable? And did Meat Loaf just deliver the oddest pep talk you’ve ever seen anyone ever give a butler? (Do butlers even need pep talks?) Hit the message boards and let us know. Then check back later for my full blow-by-blow recap. And for more reality ramblings, follow me on Twitter @EWDaltonRoss.
