'American Idol': Stefano Langone's final performance -- VIDEO

So that’s it: Last night marked “The End of the Road” for poor Stefano Langone, the season 10 wildcard whose charm and ambition helped him outlast the likes of Pia Toscano and Paul McDonald. But he sure showed just why he had made it as far as the Top 7 Thursday night with his exit performance of Stevie Wonder’s “Lately.” (A much better choice than Wednesday night’s “Closer.”) Pulling out all the vocal stops, Stefano truly went out with a bang — and a heartfelt, touching embrace from Idol BFF James Durbin. Watch his finale performance embedded after the jump. We all knew his ouster was bound to happen soon, but still, will you miss Stefano?
