'The Art of Getting By' trailer: We have to let Freddie Highmore grow up, but I don't want to

It’s a curious thing: Liking a young actor’s performance so much you want him to have a long career, and yet, not actually wanting him to age. Alas, I’ll try to see Freddie Highmore as an arty, lost teen slacker pining for Emma Roberts in The Art of Getting By (watch the trailer below), and not as the little boy sitting on the bench with Johnny Depp at the end of Finding Neverland whose teary eyes are almost as contagious as Parenthood‘s Lauren Graham’s. (That’s also embedded below because I like to emotionally flagellate myself with it once a year.)
