'American Idol': Paul McDonald's final performance -- VIDEO

The law of averages finally kicked in last night, and after five consecutive female contestants were sent packing, it was time for a man to say goodbye on American Idol. Paul McDonald and his pearly whites were voted off after his cover of “Old Time Rock and Roll,” but he seemed to be taking the sad news well, judging from his buoyant rendition of “Maggie May.” Click below to watch his farewell performance.
