'Justified': Who is your favorite supporting character?
- TV Show
After last night's eventful episode of FX's Justified (read our post-mortem chat with executive producer Graham Yost, who also teases the happenings in Harlan through the May 4 season finale), we thought it was a good time to ask which of Justified's many colorful supporting characters is your favorite? That means Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) and Boyd (Walton Goggins) are off the table. Anyone else is fair game, including Dewey Crowe (Damon Herriman, pictured).
The bad news for Dewey fans: We won't see him again in season 2. The good news: Yost says we will see him again in the future. "We love Dewey," Yost says. "As long as there is a Justified, we will find something for Dewey to do. He is just so funny. The scene with him and the two hookers, it's just about the best thing I've ever seen. And he's this sweet Australian kid. So we put a whole fake [idea] board up, you know, 'Dewey gets abducted and probed by aliens,' all this stuff, and just waited till he noticed any of them." Dewey pretending to be Raylan, by the way, was Olyphant's idea. "We brought Tim into the room and said, 'We want to do an episode where there's a Raylan Givens impostor,' and he said, 'What if it was Dewey?'" Between that and coming up with the idea for Coover's pet Charlie, I think it's clear Olyphant earns his producer credit on the series, right?
