2010’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid introduced moviegoers to 11-year-old Greg Heffley (Zachary Gordon), a middle-schooler plagued by a laundry list of small humiliations. Greg’s story continues in this sequel, which follows the wimpy kid as he enters seventh grade and endures his clueless parents’ appeals for him to bond with his bully of an older brother (Devon Bostick). Rodrick Rules is based on the second of Jeff Kinney’s wildly successful Wimpy Kid books — and since there are five installments altogether so far, it seems safe to say that this won’t be the last we hear from poor, put-upon Greg.
