Peter Fonda shakes up 'CSI: NY'

Peter Fonda is relishing the opportunity to play an ex-partner of Mac’s (Gary Sinise) for a CSI: NY two-parter airing April 29 and May 6. Fonda’s character will reconnect with Mac after a baddo they once put away is released from prison. The actor is loath to spoil the big finish, but will admit the script calls for lots of gunplay and creative ways to react to a blast. ”I call it doing the Brando,” Fonda says, in reference to Marlon Brando’s famed death scene from Viva Zapata! ”It’s so fun. When I was a kid, I wanted people to shoot me. I always get fan mail from people asking why I have to die. That’s so I won’t have to do remakes.”
