Either TV Land’s audience is getting younger or we’re getting older. (Don’t answer that.) The network has announced that the cast of The Facts of Life will reunite next month for the first time in 20 years to accept the Pop Culture Award at the 2011 TV Land Awards. That’s Mindy Cohn (Natalie), Kim Fields (Tootie), Nancy McKeon (Jo), Lisa Whelchel (Blair), and Charlotte Rae (Mrs. Garrett). George Clooney is curiously left off the announcement. I’m hoping for at least a taped message.

What facts of life did you glean from the show? For me, it was beware of nice young girls in coffee shops in New York (they’re teen prostitutes) and “Au” is the symbol for gold (watch and learn below!). Update: I just received an IM from my editor, Mike Bruno, who says he loved Blair. “Like loved her as in I thought she was pretty and was probably attracted to the fact that she was the kinda stuck up b—- who in real life would NEVER talk to me.” Fascinating. Polls after the jump as well.

In other TV Land Award news, Gabe Kaplan, co-creator and star of Welcome Back, Kotter, has been added to that cast’s reunion to receive the 35th Anniversary Award, as has Robert Hegyes (Juan Epstein). They join their previously confirmed castmates John Travolta, Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs, Ron Palillo, and Marcia Strassman. Other honorees include Regis Philbin (Legend Award), Family Ties (Fan Favorite Award), and The Cosby Show (Impact Award).
