The original Conan the Barbarian featured a star-making performance by future Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, a kill-the-hippies plotline, and one of the great action movie soundtracks. Suffice it to say, the upcoming remake has some big shoes to fill. The first teaser has debuted on Yahoo, and it’s a disappointingly murky: Scattered images of serious-looking people play out in a smoky montage. There’s no hint about the look of the movie, or any plot specifics. Still, new Conan Jason Momoa (Stargate: Atlantis) gets one good line in: “I live, I love, I slay, and I am content.” Hey, it’s not quite “Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women.” But consider our interest piqued.
