'NCIS: Los Angeles' partners with Instagram, fan pic to appear in finale -- EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS
- TV Show
In a first-of-its-kind partnership with a major TV show, the popular photo-sharing app Instagram is teaming with NCIS: Los Angeles on a venture that will have the cast sharing on-set snapshots with fans (and vice versa).
The “Flaunt Your City” campaign starts Thursday and encourages fans to send in pics of their hometown for the chance for one of them to appear on the show’s May 17th season finale. Meanwhile cast members will be taking their own on-set pics and sharing them too (see samples below).
“NCIS: LA has always utilized photography in a unique way,” said exec producer Shane Brennan. “Whether in sweeping images of the Los Angeles skyline, or surveillance photos of a suspect, photos are a vital part of our storytelling process. We’re excited to partner with Instagram to give our fans a behind the scenes look at our show, as well as see what photos they send us of their own hometowns.”
“Not only are we excited to see the behind-the-scenes look that the cast and crew will provide, we can’t wait to browse the gorgeous photos viewers will send in of their hometown,” added Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom. “It’s a one of a kind partnership that expands what social media means to business today.”
