STARRING Mia Wasikowska, Michael Fassbender, and Jamie Bell
DIRECTED BY Cary Fukunaga

Charlotte Bronte’s classic proto-feminist novel has been adapted for the screen no fewer than six times — Franco Zefferelli’s interpretation of the story was released just 15 years ago. The latest adaptation stars Mia Wasikowska, who’s no stranger to playing iconic Victorian characters, as plain Jane, and Michael Fassbender (Magneto in the upcoming X-Men: First Class) as her true love, the dark, tortured Mr. Rochester. Your high school English teacher hasn’t been this excited for a new release since the Winona Ryder version of Little Women.
