We gave it a B+

In the ’70s, Hollywood had Dirty Harry and The French Connection. Italy had the films of Fernando Di Leo. Now four of the maestro of Mafia mayhem’s best gangster flicks are assembled in the Fernando Di Leo Crime Collection, including his funky masterpiece, 1972’s Caliber 9 (a Quentin Tarantino favorite). If you’re looking for suitcases full of lire, Fiat chases, groovy sideburns, and brutal bare-knuckle action, this is the ticket. Buon appetito! B+
