'American Idol' contestant Casey Abrams in hospital

Now he needs a doctor:People has confirmed that American Idol contestant Casey Abrams is indeed in the hospital, as earlier reports indicated. (Fox has no comment.) According to People, Abrams checked into the hospital complaining of stomach pains Wednesday. Though his condition is not known, Abrams reportedly did receive a blood transfusion Friday. Abrams will have to perform on Friday’s night’s taped program in order to continue on in the competition; whether or not he’ll make the taping is not yet known.
