TV Land is hoping to emulate the success of Hot in Cleveland by stuffing its upcoming sitcom pilots with familiar faces. In Happily Divorced, based on Fran Drescher’s life, Drescher’s character starts dating again after she discovers her husband is gay. Rita Moreno (West Side Story) will play her mother, Tichina Arnold (Everybody Hates Chris) is cast as the best friend, and John Michael Higgins (Best in Show) and D.W. Moffett (Friday Night Lights) have signed on for other roles.

Donald Faison (Scrubs), Wayne Knight (Seinfeld), and Kristen Johnston (3rd Rock From the Sun) have signed on for a untitled sitcom from Mark Reisman (Wings), about a trio of divorced men who live in the same building run by a sexy female landlord. In Rip City, Christine Taylor (Dodgeball) and Sherri Shepherd (The View) will star in the story of a regional soda company that is turned upside down when an Ivy League female becomes the new boss. Anne Meara (The King of Queens) will guest star.

“TV Land is very dedicated to finding the next great sitcom for viewers in their 40s,” said TV Land’s president, Larry W. Jones, in a statement. “With the successes of Hot in Cleveland and Retired at 35, we feel that we are really honing in on what our audience craves — sitcoms with a classic feel with funny, relatable, and contemporary story lines.”
