About four score and seven minutes ago, the trailer for Robert Redford’s Lincoln assassination drama The Conspirator hit the web. Set primarily after the 16th President’s death, it follows the trial of Mary Surratt, the mother of one of John Wilkes Booth’s co-conspirators. This is Redford’s first directorial effort since 2007’s Lions for Lambs, and he has Robin Wright playing Surratt, with James McAvoy in the role of her initially reluctant lawyer. The film isn’t set to hit theaters until April 15, so hopefully people won’t get it confused with this. Check it out below.
