Image Credit: Joe Traver/Getty ImagesIf Britney had the largest television audience for the premiere of her new music video, would you hold it against her? Rumors are flying around (or maybe it’s just idle chatter?) that the recently-shot music video for Britney Spears’ hot single “Hold It Against Me” may make its much-anticipated debut somewhere during Fox’s airing of Super Bowl or the post-game episode of Glee on Sunday, Feb. 6. UPDATE: Larry Rudolph, Spears’ manager, told Access Hollywood that the video will not be premiering after the Super Bowl.

Truly, it’s a highly unlikely move, but given some of the stunts that have happened in the past at the Super Bowl, it’s not out of the realm of possibility. So far, Britney’s camp hasn’t returned emails from EW about the plans for premiere. (We’ll update you if they do, of course.) If the premiere of “Hold It Against Me” does indeed happen during the Super Bowl, it would be a 10 year reunion of sorts for Spears, who hasn’t appeared during the sporting event since she performed (and wore that tube sock as an arm warmer!) at half time 10 years ago with Aerosmith (see above), ‘NSYNC, Nelly, and Mary J. Blige at the 2001 event. This year, it’s looking more and more likely that the Super Bowl will once again set TV-viewing records and topple last year’s 106.5 million viewers. Not a bad stage to make yet another come back, eh, Brit?
