'Jersey Shore' breaks another record
Image Credit: MTVGood God, those kids are unstoppable: Thursday’s episode of Jersey Shore ranked as the most-watched series telecast in MTV’s history, averaging 8.9 million viewers and beating last week’s record of 8.6 million. It also averaged 6.9 million viewers among persons 12 to 34 – up from last week when it lured 6.6 million.
Even better (that is, from MTV’s perspective) is how it trounced American Idol. Jersey Shore was the No. 1 telecast among all primetime shows on Thursday among persons 12-34, beating the Fox show by nearly 1 million.
