Howard K. Stern, Anna Nicole Smith’s former lawyer and boyfriend, had his conspiracy felony charges dismissed by Judge Robert J. Perry, according to People. In October, Stern had been convicted of two counts for enabling Smith’s drug addiction by obtaining drugs for her under false names. She died of an accidental overdose in 2007 at the age of 39. The judge ignored the jury’s verdict, claiming that there was no evidence Stern intended fraud or deception, and granted the defense’s motion for a new trial.
