'Tornado Alley' trailer: Chasing twisters in 3-D

Other than the double rainbow, is anything in nature quite as awe-inspiring as the tornado? Sean Casey, the filmmaker and storm chaser from Discovery Channel’s aptly named Storm Chasers, undoubtedly thinks not. In his new 3-D IMAX documentary Tornado Alley, Casey heads out on a quest to film the birth of a tornado, as well as capture images from within. We’ll have to wait and see if Casey succeeded or not. But judging from the film’s trailer, we can at least expect some jaw-dropping footage of storms that are so fierce, it makes me glad I live in earthquake-prone, sunshine-y California. And with a narration by Twister star Bill Paxton, the only thing missing here is that flying cow. Check out the twisty trailer below:
