Anne Francis, who co-starred in the sci-fi classic, Forbidden Planet, and played a glamorous — and groundbreaking — female detective in Aaron Spelling’s Honey West, has died. The Los Angeles Times reports that the actress died in Santa Barbara, Calif., of complications related to pancreatic cancer. She was 80 years old. In Forbidden Planet (1956), Francis played the alluring daughter of the scientist played by Walter Pidgeon, who together were the only two survivors on a mysterious space colony.
