Image Credit: Kevin Mazur/WireImage.comPrepare yourselves, Britney Spears fans: She’s about to release a brand-new single called “Hold It Against Me” in just over a week. Sharon Dastur, program director for NYC’s Z100 radio, has heard the new single, and she loves it.

“It’s produced by Dr. Luke and Max Martin, and the beat that they give her is really unique compared to other artists — this infectious bass beat beneath the song,” Dastur says in the new issue of Entertainment Weekly, on newsstands tomorrow. “Plus, the hook is just amazing.”

Dastur tells us that “Hold It Against Me” will premiere on Jan. 7, next Friday. It will presumably precede Spears’ seventh studio album, about which little is known aside from a March release date.

Excited yet? Spears doing her thing over an “infectious bass beat” from pop maestros Dr. Luke and Max Martin sounds pretty enticing, no? Let us know if you’re looking forward to hearing “Hold It Against Me.”
