SXSW) Film Festival announced today that its opening night film will be the world premiere of the Jake Gyllenhaal thriller Source Code, directed by Duncan Jones (Moon). The Austin, Texas festival will run from March 11-19, and will also feature Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke in a special directing workshop. Source Code, about a soldier (Gyllenhaal) who is placed into another man’s identity for the last eight minutes of his life in an effort to find the bomber who killed him, also stars Michelle Monaghan (Eagle Eye), Vera Farmiga (Up in the Air), and Jeffrey Wright (Quantum of Solace). It will open wide in theaters April 1.
