The Sundance Film Festival invited three additional films to its slate of out-of-competition premieres. Rob Minkoff’s Flypaper, starring Patrick Dempsey, Ashley Judd, and Mekhi Phifer tells the story of competing robbers who hit the same bank on the same day. Miranda July’s The Future, which also will screen at the Berlin Film Festival in February, is about the strange impact of a stray cat when a couple takes it into their home. In Magic Trip, documentary filmmakers Alison Ellwood and Alex Gibney revisit Ken Kesey’s 1964 “trip” to the New York World Fair. Sundance runs January 20-30 in Park City, Utah.
