According to Deadline, Firth would play a cat burglar who attempts to rob a billionaire with the help of a woman who looks like the rich man’s dead wife. The remake of the 1966 British film, starring Michael Caine and Shirley MacLaine, was written by a twosome also fielding Academy Awards buzz for their upcoming True Grit: Joel and Ethan Coen.
