It’s something every parent is going to have to face sooner or later, especially if you don’t want them to learn about it on the playground: When do you talk to your kid about Star Wars? What do you tell them? How do you instill your Star Wars values — and not let someone convince them that Jar Jar Binks is okay?

The best thing about this video might actually just be that baby’s Yoda outfit. My only beef with this otherwise terrific primer is that it overlooks the role of the Star Wars-loving moms out there, but it was made by a dude-geared website, so I guess I can forgive them.

Did you give your kids a book, PopWatchers? Did you just wait for someone to tell them about it at school? Did your parents sit you down and explain that it was a dark time for the rebellion, and promise to answer any questions you had? When do you tell your kids about Star Wars?
