Sugarland settles lawsuit with founder
Sugarland settled a $14 million lawsuit with Kristen Hall, the group’s founding member who had sued the musical duo, Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush, claiming a right to a third of the act’s profits. Hall had founded the band in 2002 before leaving in 2005 to pursue a solo career. The agreement prevents a trial, which was scheduled to begin today. Financial terms were not disclosed.
