Judging from this new trailer for Little Fockers, it looks like Paul Weitz may finally be digging his way out of director’s jail. Paul and his brother Chris co-directed a terrific adaptation of Nick Hornby’s About a Boy back in 2002, and then went their mostly separate ways. Chris landed big-tent projects like The Golden Compass and New Moon, while Paul had less luck with movies like American Dreamz and Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant. But this new trailer for Little Fockers, the third film in the Focker family franchise, with Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman, and Barbra Streisand all reprising their roles, makes us wonder if Paul is finally coming into his own. If nothing else, it’s a vast improvement on the earlier trailer Universal released for the film last month. But what do you think Popwatchers? Are you ready for yet another Focker?
