Image Credit: PRN/PR PhotosMaybe it’s because I’ve never seen an episode of the The Hills and I found Audrina Patridge’s eyes glassy and vacant on Dancing With the Stars even during her paso doble, but I’m rather indifferent to the news that she’s scored her own VH1 reality show. “It’s about my family, me and everything you’ve always wondered about,” Patridge explained last night, after her DWTS elimination. She’s teamed up with producer Mark Burnett, who’ll help her develop the show. It’s always strange to hear the word “develop” mentioned in the same breath as a non-competitive reality show, right? Naively, we want to believe that if a person is deemed interesting enough to get their own reality show, then his or her life can naturally produce 22 entertaining minutes a week. Realistically, however, producers can’t count on it.
Cheers or crickets?
