The recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees revealed today that they plan to release an album titled Hot Sauce Committee Part 2 next spring, instead of Hot Sauce Committee Part 1, which was once expected this fall. It remains unclear whether there will be any tracklist overlap between Part 2 and the previously announced Part 1.

The Beasties’ cryptically worded statement in full: “Although we regret to inform you that Hot Sauce Committee Part 1 will continue to be delayed indefinitely, Hot Sauce Committee Part 2 will be released on time as originally planned in spring of 2011.”

Hot Sauce will be the Beasties’ first album since 2007’s instrumental The Mix-Up. Looking forward hearing it? Let us know in comments.
