Oh, those sneaky Survivor: Nicaragua producers. Just when the contestants think they have it all figured out, what does the show do but force them to form two completely new tribes, mixing both old and young in each. My full recap will be up at midnight (UPDATE: Click the link to see Dalton’s detailed Survivor episode 5 recap), but if you can’t wait to sound off about who almost quit, and who went home, then read on after the jump for more. [SPOILER ALERT: Read on only if you have already watched Wednesday’s episode of Survivor: Nicaragua.]

Say goodbye to the Medallion of Power! The oft-ridiculed challenge cheat was discarded from the game once Jeff Probst realigned the tribes. Hallelujah!!! Brenda and Holly pulled colored rocks, making them new tribe leaders, with Brenda taking Marty, Jill and Jane over to La Flor, while Holly swiped Chase, Benry, Alina, and NaOnka for Espada. After a rough day (and night) in the rain, and apparently unable to find anyone else with a prosthetic limb to bully, NaOnka repeatedly threatened to quit. This, however, proved to be a painful empty promise for viewers suddenly delighted to be rid of both Jimmy T and NaOnka in successive weeks. Instead, in the end it was Tyrone who was voted out after the new Espada lost the immunity challenge and he ate too much chicken. Meaning Dan — who can barely sit, stand, or walk — is still somehow in the game. Amazing.
