Appearing on The O’Reilly Factor to promote his new book Earth (The Book), Jon Stewart was asked by Bill O’Reilly whether he had “Obama remorse.” After jousting jokingly with O’Reilly for a few minutes, Stewart said the problem with President Obama is that “he ran as a visionary, and he’s led as a functionary.” Stewart said Obama kept too much of the “same system and the same people in place” when he came into office.

Talking about his planned Oct. 30 rally in Washington, D.C., Stewart noted that it would last from noon to 3 p.m. and its war cry would be “We’re here, but we’re only here till 3: We have a sitter!”

Stewart referred to O’Reilly as “Fox 1.0” and said that the current “Fox 2.0” is more radical: “I think you can’t believe what you’ve unleashed,” said Stewart, presumably referring to, oh, I don’t know…Glenn Beck, maybe. “On this network [now], you’re left-wing,” Stewart concluded.

The two men seemed to enjoy each other’s company immensely, and O’Reilly announced he’d be appearing on The Daily Show next Monday.
