The new sitcom is ”about relationships in three different stages,” explains star JoAnna Garcia (Privileged), who plays newly engaged Mia. ”Three very different stages.” Mia and her fiancé (Jake Lacy) have been together just weeks and yet are headed down the aisle, while her older sister, Maddie (Jennifer Finnigan), and her boyfriend (Josh Cooke) have been together for years and are constantly defending their ”valid life choice” not to get hitched. Mia and Maddie’s parents, Vicky (Debra Jo Rupp) and Joel (Kurt Fuller), represent the long-married, can’t-live-with-or-without couple. The comedy will often revolve around all three pairs dealing with the same issue in an episode, whether it’s lying or how they handled their first fight. Says creator Shana Goldberg-Meehan, ”We’re hoping that you can pick out where you are with the different couples.” SEPT. 22
