Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood team up again to host 2010 CMA Awards
Image Credit: Bob D’Amico/ABCIt was announced today that Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will return for a third turn as co-hosts of the CMA Awards when the 2010 ceremony airs Nov. 10 from Nashville. They’ve been a successful team — Underwood’s nice-girl veneer blends well with Paisley’s geeky, quick wit — and their joint popularity within the industry gives the night that special, star-studded vibe. (If you’re scoring at home, it takes Paisley + Underwood = Reba, who’s managed to host the ACMs all by her lonesome for a while now.)
This year’s nominees will be announced over two days at the end of the month: Justin Moore and Chris Young will announce some on Aug. 31; Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert will announce the rest on Good Morning America Sept. 1. No one knows why it is happening this way. But let’s guess who’ll rack up the nominations, Mixers! If you had a vote for the 2010 CMAs — eligibility is July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010 — who’d be on your ballots?
