Levi Johnston, the 20-year-old father of Sarah Palin’s grandson Tripp, will be running for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, as part of a new reality show titled Loving Levi: The Road to the Mayor’s Office, according to Variety. The show, which the production company Stone & Company is currently pitching to networks, will depict Johnston’s rise to notoriety and his efforts to run for city council and eventually be elected mayor of Wasilla in 2012. (Palin previously served as the city’s mayor from 1996 to 2002). “[Levi] will give us a real inside look into who he is as a father, a skilled hunter, an avid dirt biker, and his journey down the road of small-town politics… right after he gets his high school diploma,” the production company told Variety.

Johnston’s on-and-off relationship (and engagement) with Palin’s 19-year-old daughter, Bristol, was called off last week. Bristol Palin accused Johnston of being “obsessed with the limelight.”
