'Charlie St. Cloud' writer's next film

Based on the ’04 best-seller The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud, this Zac Efron drama is the first big-screen version of a book by author Ben Sherwood. But it likely won’t be the last: The Man Who Ate the 747, Sherwood’s 2002 debut novel about a small-town man who sets out to eat an airplane to prove his love for his sweetheart, is also in development — both as a Warner Bros. movie and as a stage musical.
