When the cameras started rolling on the latest iteration of the Scream franchise this week a flurry of young actors joined Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette as they stave off the latest serial killer to hit the town of Woodsboro. Marley Shelton (Grindhouse), Anthony Anderson and Adam Brody all play detectives trying to stop the maniacal killer. Shelton’s character Deputy Hicks works under Dewey Riley (Arquette) while Brody’s character is a cop fresh out of college.

Community’s Allison Brie, Marielle Jaffe (Percy Jackson & The Lightning Thief), Rory Culkin, Nico Tortorella (Make It or Break It) and Erik Knudsen, who we can see later this summer in Scott Pilgrim vs The World round out the cast along with Battlestar Galactica’s Mary McDonnell. Hayden Panettiere’s (Heroes) and Emma Roberts (Hotel for Dogs) involvement with the movie has already been announced.

Craven will direct and produce from a script from Kevin Williamson. The Dimension Film cast is shooting in and around Ann Arbor, Michigan.
