'America's Got Talent': Shame on Howie Mandel's slow clap
Okay, AscenDance, you two have the best bodies of all the AGT contestants pretty much ever — and that rock-climbing dance wasn’t too bad, either. Otherwise, though, this latest round of auditions didn’t have all that much going for it: Some cute kids made it through even though they were just okay, a trapeze act showed some promise, and another old dude harmonica guy made the cut. We already have a harmonica guy!
And…then there were the sisters with cystic fibrosis. Their story is gut-wrenching, and their duet was actually pretty decent. But Howie Mandel’s slow-clap standing ovation was just vile; it was phony and awkward at best. Behold:
