Image Credit: On Location NewsTaking an acute turn away from the quietly powerful chamber-drama plots of the previous two films, early photos indicate that much of Transformers 3: The Rise of the Vengeful Fallen’s Revenge will be about Shia LaBeouf cowering in the face of giant CGI robots making things go boom.

Based on successful threequels in the past, I was hoping that Transformers 3 would either be set in the Wild West or star Sean Connery in a bucket hat, but I guess it’s just not to be. New images from the set of the latest robots-in-disguise film show Shia LaBeouf, Tyrese Gibson and Megan Fox 2.0 (also known as Rosie Huntington-Whiteley) doing what actors do best in a Michael Bay film: Staying out of the way. The scene they are shooting is supposedly set in an office building that’s in the process of being tipped over by a big, bad Decepticon, and from the confused, perhaps gastrointestinally distressed, looks on the faces of LaBeouf and Huntington-Whiteley, it seems evident that those two will have all the romantic chemistry LaBeouf and Fox had.

What do you think PopWatchers? Do these photos make you excited for two-and-a-half more hours of Michael Bay playing with toys? Anyone hope Tyrese will finally get something other than a reaction shot and a “They’re coming this way!” in this one? Anyone want to see some actual pictures of Transformers from this Transformers movie?
