Image Credit: Solarpix/PR Photos; Jay Kravetz/PR PhotosCNN is talking to America’s Got Talent judge Piers Morgan about filling “a potential slot in its troubled prime-time lineup,” according to the NY Post. (EW’s calls to CNN and Morgan’s rep have yet to be returned.) Meanwhile, Oprah seems to have SINGLED OUT former Playboy/MTV/NBC personality Jenny McCarthy, who has a development deal with Winfrey’s Harpo Productions. A spokeswoman denied that McCarthy or anyone else would be specifically “taking over for Oprah.”

Ugh, I get really annoyed when people start clamoring for The Next ____, The Next ____, etc. There is no next anyone! New hosts of new shows will not “be” or even “embody” Oprah or Larry King. They will “be” themselves! That said/b–chfest over, it’s pretty weird that Piers Morgan and Jenny McCarthy are suddenly in demand. Poll!
