Mark Twain's memoir: What took so long?
University of California Press will publish the author's memoir in November
With the glut of memoirs from celebutantes in their 20s, it’s nice to see some self-appraisal that comes after the fact. On the 100th anniversary of Mark Twain’s death, a date set by the author, a memoir from the fun uncle of American literature is finally seeing print. Like any good celebrity tell-all, it has some spicy bits, including an affair with his secretary. The University of California Press publishes the first volume in November.
