Wipeout executive producer Matt Kunitz will shoot a pilot for ABC this August called 101 Ways to Leave a Game Show. Variety describes the Endemol USA offering thusly: “Gamer follows competitors as they answer questions while sitting in various compromising positions like a catapult. If they get one wrong, however, the player exits the show via one of several terrifying ejection devices — such as being shot out of a cannon or speeding down a zipline.” Stupid? Yes. But something I could, arguably, see myself watching in a crappy hotel room that doesn’t get cable.

If you’re going to humiliate yourself on national TV, doing it by cannon or catapult is at least an interesting story to tell your friends. I mean, who actually gets shot out of a cannon or a catapult? That’s as rare as, say, me someone slipping on a banana peel (twice).

Would you tune in for this? Any suggestions for the other 98 ways someone could exit this game show?
